State of Soaps

Like most of you, I've been super busy this holiday season and here we are two weeks from Christmas. I didn't even send out Christmas cards which I love doing. It's sort of my thing to send them out to all my friends and family and I always drop them in the mail on Thanksgiving so they'll be the first to arrive. This year. I FORGOT! Geremy, my partner, a week after Thanksgiving asked "Are you going to send out Christmas cards?" Oh, boy.
My soaping has taken a somewhat similar journey. I was making so much as I enjoy it, but can't really use 26 bars of soaps myself, and this website was born and I was peddling them here and there to friends and family and the occasional craft fair. I've learned a lot about soaping since I started but don't always have the time or the frame of mind to "get out there" as I should. The side-hustle can really wear one down. This year I've been working about 14 hours at my part-time job each week so I don't really have a whole lot of time to find space to get my product out there. Each batch takes at least 4 weeks to cure so there's a lot of planning involved as well. I'm committed to get in the studio (kitchen) and mix up some new scents for the spring and summer.
